Three years ago, a RotaKids ‘swarm’ was created in the 240+ pupil Biggar Primary School in South Lanarkshire. (Just in case you are wondering, a swarm in this school means a committee, and when you read on you will see just how appropriate this title is for the wonderful busy bees in the school.)

We now have the go-ahead to despatch a consignment of Community and Family Filters to support communities in the Bahamas following the devastating Hurricane Dorian which struck the islands earlier this month.

After first receiving the news of the devastation being caused by Hurricane Dorian across the Bahamas late last week Aquabox moved swiftly into planning how best we could respond to this major disaster.

Following a visit of 28 Rotarians from 5 Rotary Clubs in the Peterborough area to our depot on Friday 26th July, we were so pleased to see the coverage for Aquabox in the Peterborough Telegraph under the very apt heading 'Something we take for granted'.

2nd August 2019
Friday 2nd August was another big day for sending out Aquabox aid consignments from our depot, with Family Filters leaving for the Assam Province in India and Gold Boxes destined for Malawi.

We were delighted to welcome Donna Wallbank, the new President of RIBI (Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland), along with her husband Steve to the Aquabox depot on Monday 8th July.
