A huge thank you to all our supporters for the knitted blankets, children's clothing and teddies. We now have a large supply of these items and storage is becoming a problem for us at our depot. As we do not want the items to get damaged, we ask that further supplies are not sent to us for the time being.

Thanks to the efforts of Aquabox volunteers, in the past two months alone we have sent over £90,000 worth of water purification filters and other humanitarian aid items to help people cope with the floods in Kerala in southern India and to support the thousands of displaced people in Cameroon.

Responding to the devastating floods in southern India, an initial consignment of 240 Family Filters and 10 Community Filters left the Aquabox depot on 23rd August bound for Bangalore by air freight to help meet the urgent need for clean drinking water.

Working with our partners Christian African Relief Trust (CART), 250 Aquaboxes will leave our depot on 28th August destined for Cameroon to help the large numbers of displaced people in the south-west region of the country.

Bakewell Rotary Club has been a long-standing supporter of Aquabox and it was with great pleasure that President Chris Webb was able to present Aquabox Trustee Roger Cassidy with a cheque for £600, this being the profit made from a Pie and Pea Supper held earlier in the year.

With the help of the Eyemouth Rotary Club, children from Eyemouth Primary School get their hands on an AquaFilter Family Unit at their school picnic to see at first hand how it turns dirty contaminated water into clean safe drinking water.
